Elizabeth Jane Hurley was an English actress, model and television personality who rose to fame during the 1990s after she became Hugh Grant's girlfriend. Hurley accompanied Grant and was at that time at the center of interest worldwide because of the huge box office success in Four Weddings and a Funeral in Los Angeles. Her dress from Versace featured a plunging neckline, and gold safety pins. Her association with Estee Lauder has been the major highlight of her career. Hurley was recruited by the company as their first model in the age of at the age of 29. From 1995 onwards, she's been used as a face in the products of the company such as Sensuous Intuition and Pleasures. In the popular spy comedy films International Man of Mystery (1997) as well as Austin Powers The Spy Who Shagged Me (1998), she played Vanessa Kensington. Hurley is now a model and the designer of an eponymous beachwear brand. Perry's efforts to achieve popular recognition were unsuccessful. Prior to any new music was released, two record labels had signed and were able to drop Perry. Capitol Records however released Perry's EP Ur So Gay in 2007. Ur So Gay's title track was a cheerfully flippant song that attracted minimal notice. I Loved a Girl a straightforward ode expressing sexual curiosity backed with a hardedged electro pop beat made her a larger splash a few months later. The song quickly stirred controversy as some critics derided it for promoting same-sex relations and others charged that the explicit scenario the song depicted sparked men's fantasies about sexuality among females. I Kissed A Girl's mix of sensuality, polished music and an enthralling chorus made to make it a top ten song across a range of countries. It led to The album, of the same name of the Boys (2007) selling well. Hot N Cold is a popular second track. Perry also wrote a lot of the lyrics for the album.
